Let our MUSE
Be YOUR guide
My life is backed up online. Just in case someone needs it some day ; ) I try to keep a good balance between work and everything else, but in the end my play is sometimes work and my work is sometimes play... So, if you are looking for more on the thought process of this Muise, pick a category and see where it leads.

The Early Years
I have been designing since I was knee high to a grasshopper, winning my first design challenge in elementary school. I was hooked! From there I continued my training, revisiting the basics in high school and moving my scholastic endeavours onto McKenzie College, where I was trained in the ways of Adobe Software and received my Graphic Design Diploma, but that was just the tip of the iceberg.
First Design Gig
I practised my skills in freelancing as well as a "steady job" working for monart, where I did photo restoration and printed it on canvas. With that I got the unique experience of doing PCP (Personalized Cap Panels), a decorative way to spruce up any casket.
Joining the GDC
When the company went under, and I found myself without a means of gainful employment, I decided that I needed to upgrade my skills and become part of the GDC (Graphic Designers of Canada). While I'm not a social butterfly, I know that being part of a group can have its advantages, and that being a "professional" both by definition and in practice would be a great skill to add to the resume.
Holland College Years
I then travelled the 167 KM to Holland College where I successfully completed a 2 year graphic design diploma course and became a student member of the GDC. Having gained more experience in my field I gained "member" status, next step is submitting my portfolio for review and moving up the ladder.
Foggy Nights
While I'll miss my foggy Saint John streets, with its lovely historical charm and of course classic lamp posts, but it was time to move to the Big City. Where I'll enjoy the Halifax Night Life and Foggy Harbour Views. Time to put the newspaper business to bed, for me at least, and move onto the new exciting world of toys! We'll see where this new adventure takes me. And hey, maybe I'll stop moving so much finally. Make some roots.
